Nectar Drops ...

Following the spiritual teachings in thought, word and deed leads to discrimination and wisdom. Mere bookish knowledge is useless.

Prajnanam Brahma is a Mahavakya. What is Prajnana? It is inner knowing, the Supreme wisdom within each one of us. This Prajnana lays hidden and reveals itself only when something touches it.

An example. I went with the ashramites to Pandaripuram. I touched the feet of Lord Panduranga. Immediately, a surge of feelings passed like an electric shock from head to toe. I cried aloud, “I belong to Him, this Panduranga is mine.” The feelings shook me; I told the ashramites, “All of you leave me and go. This is my place. I belong to Him. I will not come with you.”

Why did I feel a shock when I touched the stone idol? It is because my Prajnana was awakened. The chaitanya, the consciousness in the idol, entered me. It showed who I am. The Prajnana, which lay hidden in me awakened and made me realize my true identity.

What do we understand from this example? It shows ordinary stone has the power of consciousness, which awakens the Prajnana of those who are connected with it.

This is how through the five senses, the deep impressions are touched, awakening the Prajnana. Vasantha’s form has emerged out of the deep impressions and feelings of Sita, Radha and Andal. These feelings reveal the inner wisdom.

As I have no sense of the ‘i’, Swami says that He reveals these truths to me. He is the voice of Prajnana.

Prajnana once awakened can never be hidden. It shows truth clearly and establishes it. It is Brahman. It is the Truth of the Self. Prajnana is Brahman. This is the Supreme wisdom of the Self, established in the Self. It lies hidden within and reveals itself the moment an object that is connected with it touches it.

What is Prajnana? Is it an experience? Is it the fruit of effort? No. It is Self-illuminating. Nothing can stop its revelation, which happens at the right time when the sadhaka is in a ripened state. An ordinary object is enough to awaken it.

Truth cannot be denied even if the whole world were to condemn it.

Prajnana Brahma is the supreme state of Self-realization. Prajnana reveals the Absolute Truth only to those souls who attain Self-realization.

The power of Prajnana cuts though the limitations of time, place, name or form.

Prajnanam Brahman. How to attain this state? It is only through the power of Prema. Why? It is because Prema and Truth are one. When one is filled with Prema, Prajnana awakens. For Truth to be revealed, one should become an embodiment of Prema.

There should not be the slightest trace of impurity in Prema; it should be pure and absolute. How is such a love possible? One should become the all encompassing, all inclusive Self. He should fully become That.

A sadhaka should be filled with Sathwa guna to the extent that he is not aware of his state. In this way, he goes beyond the Sathwa guna, to the Gunateetha state. This is a state beyond the three gunas. There is however no state beyond Prema. Prema is infinite. Infinite Prema is Prajnana.

Prema is not the love for God alone; it is love for the entire creation. God and His creation are the same. Truth is realized when one sees God in His Creation.

God is in the state of witness. When we see the creation as God, it reveals truth in many ways and forms. One should worship and adore the creation as being one with God.

Thus, to awaken one’s Prajnana, it is not enough to catch hold of God alone. We must shower love on God and His creation equally, love all. Only Prema touches Prajnana.

‘Prajnanam Brahman’ is the super causal state. Nothing can taint it. The consciousness of the body, mind and intellect cannot disturb it. This is the state of Sudha Sathwa, Pure Consciousness.

Amma's recent e-books

Released on 1st Jan 2014

In this book, we have seen God's great mysterious unfolding drama. Just as each person has their own point of view, the saints, sages and siddhas have written according to their viewpoint, angle and the extent of Truth revealed to them. Though each nadi is different, all describe the same events, but with the individual emphasis of the sage or siddha. Four main themes run throughout the nadis:

1.      Swami returns in the Sathya Sai form.
2.      Amma is Swami's Shakthi.
3.      Amma's body merges as a jyothi with Swami.
4.      The coming of the Sathya Yuga, the Golden Age and Prema Sai happens.
